The International Institute of Consciousness Science (IICS) was established in 2006 with the mission to revolutionize how we treat human disease. We are a non-profit organization made up of compassionate researchers with backgrounds in cancer, HIV, hepatitis C, and computer science. We are dedicated to improving medical care by introducing new theories and methodologies to the medical community. At IICS, we believe that patients are people; not just a set of symptoms. We feel that medicine and medical science research could be greatly improved by taking into account that every patient is their own human being with unique life experiences, personality traits, emotions, etc.; essentially promoting the idea that “life experience shapes disease”. By considering each person as a whole, we can make great strides towards improving healthcare.
